Y bien, es un poco difícil tratar de enlistar todo el trabajo de un maestro como él. Elswit ha trabajado en casi todas las películas de P.T. Anderson, entre muchos otros directores. Hay que destacar su trabajo en Petróleo Sangriento la cual le valió el Oscar. También hizo la fotografía de la película de Clooney Buenas noches y buena suerte de la cual comentó:

“When I read the script, it struck me that it really didn’t have a conventional three-act story structure. I thought, ‘Where’s the movie? I wasn’t quite sure, honestly, that it really was a movie. But I loved George and the way he talked about it.”

Sobre el reto que impone la foto en blanco y negro dijo:  “It’s a different approach to lighting and design, but it just seemed the best way to go. I could use zoom lenses, and 5218 is fast enough that I wouldn’t struggle with low light levels, which I knew I was going to run into. There was a little more shadow detail, maybe, in the 5231, but it held the highlights, and during the DI process I could see it was going to work really well.” Sigue leyendo →
